Phil Morton
Managing Director
A familiar face in the executive search and recruitment space in South Australia, Phil has spent 25 years in the industry after an earlier career in engineering and construction management.
Beginning his career in local government, Phil gained further qualifications and experience in public works engineering and building surveying. He then moved to Boral and Adelaide Brighton where he proceeded rapidly to general management level, recognised for his technical skills along with relationship and business development capabilities.
Phil joined Morgan & Banks in 1997, which later became Hudson, where he was recognised with a President's award as Hudson's Top Operations Leader for Australia and New Zealand in 2003. His interest in the human aspects of business operation has driven a desire to continually improve services in a sector where relationship management is critical and success relies on networks and performance.
In 2007, Phil co-founded Morton Philips in order to explore his passion to build a cohesive, decisive Human Resources practice that is immediately responsible for and responsive to its clients and candidates. As of 1 July 2014, Phil became the sole owner and Managing Director of Morton Philips employing a dedicated team working together to exceed client's expectations by sourcing and forming trusted relationships with candidates.
